When it comes to enhancing our eyelashes, the options can be overwhelming. Two popular choices that often leave individuals pondering are lash lifts and lash extensions. While both promise to elevate your natural lashes, they cater to different needs and preferences.

In this blog, we’ll delve into the nuances of lash lifts and lash extensions, exploring their differences, benefits, and considerations. Whether you’re seeking a low-maintenance enhancement or a more dramatic long-lasting look, this guide will assist you in making an informed decision tailored to your desires. So, let’s dive in and uncover which option aligns best with your lash goals.

Lash Lift

A Lash Lift is a half-hour to an hour-long service if you include a tint. Lash Lifts are a chemical service that involves perming the natural lashes over a rod. Yes! I said perm, and rod, together! This service is similar to the same concept we knew way back in the day! Obviously, the chemical makeup of the lash solution is not as strong for Lash Lifting but it is of similar chemical makeup.

A Lash Lifting solution is applied to the natural lash. The solution will alter the shape of the natural lash. The end result is similar to lashes after using a lash curler. Due to wrapping the natural lashes over the perm rod the lashes will appear longer and curl upwards.

When adding the tint (tint is optional) the lashes will appear darker and more dramatic which is nice if you have naturally straight, or light lashes. This service will add length and color but will not add volume. See the photo on the left side as an example of a Lash Lift and Tint performed on blonde lashes. Lash Extensions

Lash Extensions are typically an hour and a half to a three-hour service depending on the artist. The process requires individual or multiple synthetic lashes applied on a 1:1 ratio on each natural lash to give an overall finished look of added length and volume. Lash Extensions require daily aftercare and you should avoid products that aid in the breakdown of lash adhesive. More extensive instructions for products and actions to avoid while wearing Lash Extensions can be found in our blog here.

This lash service is customizable and is perfect if you are looking to add, length, darkness, and volume to your lashes. Photos of Lash Extensions can be found on our Instagram we often include the type of lash set in the caption. Such as; Classic, Hybrid, Volume, Wispy, Mega, and Wet sets. The photo depicted below on the right side is a Classic Wispy Set. Classic Wispy lashes are accomplished by using Classic Lash Extensions in a 1:1 ratio taking one lash and applying it to a natural lash with adhesive after isolating the surrounding natural lashes away with tweezers.

Here, we use our Siroki Lash Classic Extensions in 0.15 mm. They hold a curl, while maintaining a soft feel, lightweight, and comfortable! Click here to book your Lash Extension service today.

Pros of Lash Extensions

  • Activities in your daily life may affect your retention.

Here at Siroki Lash we truly hope this helped you gain some clarity and understanding of the difference between a Lash Extension service and a Lash Lift and Tint. Both options are incredible and will leave you feeling confident. Just keep in mind every service is not perfect for everybody. And, that’s okay! There are so many lash options this is just scratching the surface! You will find the service for you based on your product use and your lifestyle.
