The Best Permanent Makeup Aftercare Guide

This is the Best Permanent Makeup Aftercare Guide at Siroki Studio, our permanent makeup services are designed to enhance your natural beauty with long-lasting results. Whether you’ve had your brows, eyeliner, or lips done, following proper PMU aftercare is essential for preventing infection, preserving pigment, and ensuring a smooth healing process.

Jacksonville, Florida.

Below are our professional aftercare guidelines for all permanent makeup procedures.

1. Keep the Area Clean

Hygiene is one of the most important parts of the healing process.

  • Gently clean the treated area with mild soap and water a few times a day

  • Pat dry with a clean tissue or cotton pad — never rub

  • This prevents bacteria from entering the skin and helps avoid infection

2. Avoid Picking or Scratching

  • Do not pick, peel, or scratch at the treated area

  • Picking can remove pigment and lead to uneven color or scarring

  • Allow any scabs or flaking skin to fall off naturally

3. Protect From Direct Sun Exposure

  • Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks

  • Sun exposure can cause pigment to fade or change color

  • After healing, always apply SPF to protect your results

4. Keep the Area Moisturized

  • Apply only the ointment or cream recommended by your Siroki Studio artist

  • Use sparingly to keep the area hydrated without suffocating the skin

  • This helps prevent excessive dryness or cracking

5. Avoid Strenuous Activities

  • Refrain from heavy exercise, saunas, or hot showers for at least a few days

  • Excessive sweating and steam can interfere with pigment retention

6. Avoid Makeup on the Treated Area

  • Do not apply makeup to the treated area for at least a few days

  • If makeup is necessary after the healing period, choose a gentle, oil-free formula

  • Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the area when removing makeup

Why Permanent Makeup Aftercare Matters

Your results depend on both our professional application and your at-home care. By following these steps, you’ll protect your investment, avoid complications, and enjoy beautiful, long-lasting results.
