Office Christmas Decor Ideas
The holidays are the perfect time to infuse your office with festive charm. Here at Siroki Studio Salon Suites we are going all out! Whether you want to go all-out, like us…or keep it simple, decorating your office can boost morale and bring a smile to your team’s faces. Here are some creative and professional ways to transform your workspace into a holiday haven:
1. Make a Memorable Entryway
First impressions count! Greet everyone with holiday cheer right at the door:
- Holiday Wreath or Garland: The obvious option… Hang a festive wreath or drape garland around the office door. Add ornaments, lights, or ribbons for extra flair.
- Entry Table Decor: Wrap faux gift boxes and set out a bowl of festive candies. We decided to put out some holiday mints in a thrifted crystal dish.
- Christmas Tree: Place a small, pre-lit Christmas tree in the entryway to set a warm, welcoming tone. We did this last year with a cute little 3-foot one placed on a pedestal in the entryway. It got so many compliments. We strung some simple twinkle lights and put them on a timer with some small ornaments and a small star to top it off! This year as you can see we decided to step it up a notch and added a 6 ft tree with the cutest silver tinsel and
2. Deck the Desks
Personalize each workspace with subtle, cheerful touches:
- Mini Desk Trees: Tiny tabletop trees add charm and are easy to customize with mini ornaments or bows. Bonus: use the rosemary trees to a add nice smell!
- Festive Accessories: Use holiday-themed office supplies, like snowman pen holders or a mug with a winter design super simple touch of festive cheer!
- Garland on a table top: This one was so easy and impactful we just laid out some garland on a table top with some simple decor we picked up at the target dollar spot!
- Bells: Festive and useful we added a little gold bell to the desk! (not pictured) its just a tiny little gold vintage bell.
3. Cheer Up the Break Room
Transform the communal area into a festive gathering spot:
- Hot Cocoa Bar: Create a self-serve station with hot chocolate packets, marshmallows, candy canes, and festive mugs! Perfect for the coffee station
- Holiday Fridge Décor: Adorn the office fridge with holiday magnets or mini garlands, such a cute easy little touch.
Here in Florida we have to wait for it to cool down a bit to break out the hot cocoa but as soon as we do the blog post with all the deets is coming in hot! haha see what i did there? ☺️
4. Bring Festivity to the Office as a Whole
Make the entire space a celebration of the season with DIY hacks:
- Hanging Snowflakes: Drape paper snowflakes from ceilings or tape them to windows for a wintry effect thats SO affordable.
- Wall Décor: Create a festive wall mural by wrapping the hanging frames such as degrees, or artwork.
- Holiday Bulletin Board: Turn your bulletin board into a seasonal masterpiece with team holiday messages or themed decorations by printing them out.
5. Transform the Windows
Let the season shine through with creative window displays:
- Frosted Window Designs: Use decals or spray-on snow for a frosty, holiday vibe. Done in 5 minutes!
- Window Garlands: Frame windows with garlands adorned with ornaments or ribbon, or check out the stick on decorations for fun.
6. Create Magic in Communal Areas
Turn shared spaces into hubs of holiday fun:
- Themed Christmas Tree: Decorate a tree that reflects your company’s culture—like gadgets for a tech firm or glamours finds for a beauty brand. We did the big black bow because we are in the beauty industry and whats more girly than a giant bow!
- Photo Wall: Set up a festive backdrop with props like Santa hats, reindeer antlers, and ugly sweaters for team photos. Post them up on that fridge!
- Stocking Wall: Hang stockings for each team member and surprise them with small treats or notes, if you have the time pop wrapped Christmas presents under the tree of choice as a surprise.
We used a bow I had at home from a dress I wore on a photoshoot.
7. Keep It Professional with Subtle Touches
Not a fan of over-the-top decorations? Opt for sophisticated, minimalistic elements:
- Neutral Color Palette: Use gold, silver, white, or natural green for a timeless, elegant look.
- Seasonal Plants: Add poinsettias, rosemary trees, or a vase of red and white flowers for a festive, fresh touch.
- Scented Décor: Incorporate light holiday scents like pine or cinnamon with candles or potpourri.
-This is what we did our first year in the space since it was a little hectic and everyone loved it.
Why Decorate Your Office for Christmas?
A festive workspace lifts spirits, fosters a sense of community, and helps everyone feel more connected during the season of giving. It’s a great way to boost morale and make the office a more inviting place to work during the holidays. We are even thinking about wrapping up a big box and placing it in the common areas for either a food or toy drive this season. Remember the reason for the season everyone.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
