How to Utilize ChatGPT for Content Ideas: Content Strategy

Let’s be real. Businesses are constantly looking for ways to elevate their online presence and reach their ideal clients. One tool that can help with content ideas and streamline this process is AI. Specifically, ChatGPT. Whether you’re managing social media accounts, creating a content strategy, or building a coaching program, ChatGPT offers versatile solutions to enhance your business operations. In this post, I’ll walk you through how I recently used ChatGPT to develop targeted content pillars and explain how it can revolutionize your business’s content strategy.

Understanding the Need for a Solid Content Strategy for

For any business, particularly in the service industry or social media space, having a well-structured content strategy is essential. Content pillars allow you to target specific audience pain points, educate them, and guide them through the customer journey. But hear me out… what if you could automate and accelerate this process? That’s where ChatGPT comes in.

Recently, I needed to create content pillars that resonated with two of my key audiences: coaching clients (through my ElevateHER program) and clients of my lash studio, Siroki Lash Studio. Both have VERY different needs. However, what they do have in common is speaking to the ideal client.

I needed a streamlined way to identify: mistakes clients were making, myths of the industry, FAQ’s, limiting beliefs, challenges, and desired outcomes for each audience.

Before diving into this make sure you have a solid understanding of your Ideal Client that you communicate in DETAIL to ChatGPT. 


Step 1: Creating Content Pillars with ChatGPT

I wanted content that would connect directly with my ideal clients, so I asked ChatGPT to help me build content pillars around these key areas. For ElevateHER, which focuses on business coaching and social media management, I identified three main pillars:

  1. Business Growth
  2. Instagram & Pinterest Strategies
  3. Pricing Strategies

For each pillar, I prompted ChatGPT to generate content ideas around common mistakes, myths, frequently asked questions (FAQs), limiting beliefs, challenges, and desired outcomes that my audience typically experiences. This allowed me to quickly map out relevant and engaging content that resonates deeply with the ElevateHER ideal client.

Next, I did the same for my lash studio clients, focusing on:

  1. Lash Care
  2. Lash Extensions
  3. Lash Room Features

The result? A clear and structured roadmap of valuable content ideas that are designed to capture attention, build authority, and convert leads.

Step 2: Automating Content Creation

Once I had my content pillars, I used ChatGPT to draft detailed lists of ideas for each category. For example, under “Business Growth” for ElevateHER, I was able to outline content that covered:

  • Mistakes business owners make (e.g., underpricing their services)
  • Common myths (e.g., “I need 10K followers to be successful on Instagram”)
  • FAQs (e.g., “How do I set my pricing?”)
  • Challenges (e.g., “Finding the right hashtags on Instagram”)
  • Desired outcomes (e.g., “Attracting premium clients”)

I followed a similar approach for the lash studio, using ChatGPT to develop content that educates clients on lash care, debunks myths about lash extensions, and highlights the unique features of my lash room environment.

Step 3: Creating Deliverable PDFs for Easy Content Management

Once ChatGPT generated all the content ideas, I asked it to create PDFs for each content pillar. This step helped me not only organize my ideas but also provided a shareable resource that I could refer back to whenever I needed inspiration for blog posts, Instagram Reels, or email newsletters. The two PDFs generated:

These documents now serve as living resources that I can expand upon, making it easier to stay consistent and on-brand with my content strategy.

Step 4: Using ChatGPT to Save Time and Improve Efficiency

What makes ChatGPT a game-changer is how much time it saves. Instead of spending hours brainstorming content ideas or writing blog posts from scratch, I was able to collaborate with the AI to quickly generate high-quality, relevant content. This tool essentially acts as a virtual assistant, helping me focus on more critical areas of my business, like engaging with clients and building new programs. I saved time not only coming up with ideas, but creating PDFs and organizing those ideas.

For business owners and social media managers, ChatGPT can help:

  • Develop strategic content calendars.
  • Brainstorm fresh content ideas for social media, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Write captions, blog posts, or video scripts.
  • Organize and structure client-facing content into easy-to-digest PDFs.
  • Answer FAQs, helping to streamline customer support.

Step 5: Integrating ChatGPT into Your Business

If you’re a small business owner, coach, or social media manager, like me… integrating ChatGPT into your content creation process is simple. Here are a few steps to get started:

  1. Define Your Audience: Before anything, make sure you clearly understand who your ideal client is. In my case, I was able to build content specific to ElevateHER clients and Siroki Lash Studio clients.
  2. Ask ChatGPT to Help You Build Content Pillars: Provide a prompt for ChatGPT to help you structure content pillars around common client pain points, myths, and challenges.
  3. Refine and Organize the Content: Use ChatGPT to expand on these pillars by drafting content ideas around each topic. Organize these ideas into PDFs or other easily shareable formats.
  4. Automate Regular Tasks: Use ChatGPT to brainstorm captions, draft post ideas, or even come up with creative social media strategies that align with your content pillars.
  5. Track Results and Adjust: As you implement the content, track engagement, and adjust your strategy. ChatGPT can continue to provide ideas and help you fine-tune your approach based on your audience’s response.
