1. A Wreath for the Door
First impressions matter! A beautiful wreath hanging on your lash room door sets the tone for the holiday season. Whether you choose a classic evergreen wreath or one adorned with sparkling ornaments, sprigs, poinsettias, and ribbon, this simple touch invites clients into a warm, festive atmosphere. I recommend getting an affordable but quality plain wreath and then you can customize it every year by adding simple touches. You can see how we added custom touches to ours above the door in the video linked above.
2. Mini Rosemary Christmas Trees
These adorable mini trees are a festive and fragrant addition to your lash room. They’re perfect for small spaces and can be placed on a counter, shelf, or work table or outside. Decorate them with miniature ornaments or a simple strand of fairy lights for an elegant touch. These were picked up at a local grocery store. I see them everywhere now. Check out Publix, Trader Joes, or Walmart! Only like $15 each smelled great and lasted all season!
3. Potted Christmas Flowers
Brighten up the room with seasonal blooms like poinsettias or Christmas cactus in chic pots. Opt for metallic or neutral-toned pots to keep things sleek, or go for traditional red and green for a classic holiday look. We picked some up in the video above from Costco! They were SO LARGE and affordable. Here in florida they definitely didn’t last us very long but we do recommend them if you’re in a cooler climate.
4. Hanging Garland with Ornaments
THIS IS MY NEW GO TO! Drape garland across mirrors, shelves, or along the walls. ( I cant wait to show you what we did this year! Stay tuned) I recommend evergreen garland for a natural look, or go glam with one that’s pre-lit or sparkly. I got twinkle lights powered by batteries from amazon for my lash room a couple of years back and I’ve used them again and again! Decorate the garland with lightweight ornaments, bows, or pinecones for added charm.
I got mine at HOBBY LOBBY it came with the pinecones and sprigs of twigs, eucalyptus and pine. But this one is a good classic at a wonderful price and its well reviewed. I think moving forward i will go with a simple one to customize it over and over. This garland had a one year review from a girl online and it was still great!
5. Poinsettias in Decorative Vessels
Poinsettias are a quintessential Christmas flower, and they look stunning in decorative vessels. Place them in gold, silver, or clear glass containers for a sophisticated vibe, or use textured ceramic pieces for a cozy feel. You can go with faux flowers or the real thing for this depending on your room temperature. Here in Florida I had to go with the faux option. I even get the clip ons and some sprigs and throw them into my faux rose flower arrangements!
6. Festive Bedding Update
Your lash bed is the focal point of the room, so don’t forget to give it a holiday makeover. Swap out your usual bedding for festive options like plush throws in red, green, or white, or opt for subtle patterns like snowflakes or plaid. Adding a few small holiday-themed pillows can make the space extra inviting. I found a cute little blanket with white snowflake brocades. They are everywhere this time of year so keep your eyes peeled. I also changed out the bedding to something more warm and cozy. My clients loved it. Its the little touches of Christmas season. Cozy vibes only!
7. Add Soft Lighting (LED CANDLE LIGHTS)
Holiday lighting makes any room feel magical. Place battery-operated candles, lanterns, or string lights in strategic spots to create a cozy glow. Avoid harsh, colorful lights, and opt for warm white or soft gold tones to maintain a relaxing ambiance for your clients.
8. Holiday Aromatherapy
While not strictly décor, a holiday-scented diffuser or candle can enhance the atmosphere of your lash room. Scents like cinnamon, pine, or vanilla are festive without being overpowering. Choose unscented options if you’re concerned about allergies. I got a cute little wax melter and would switch out the scents.
Final Touches: Keep It Simple
When decorating your lash room, less is often more. Focus on a few impactful pieces rather than overcrowding the space. This ensures your clients can enjoy a festive environment without feeling overwhelmed. BONUS Grab a cute little sign or two from your favorite holiday shops and maybe even some little trees at the target dollar spot. We put a few fun signs and things in the restrooms to continue the festive vibes throughout the entire appointment!
Your lash room is where clients come to relax, so creating a festive, cozy vibe can leave a lasting impression.
